About Jay

Hi, I'm Jay Macleod

I specialise in coaching adults with ADHD and their partners, helping you navigate attention, emotional, and executive function challenges and build the skills you need to thrive.

Whether you're an adult with ADHD or the partner of someone with ADHD, I offer practical, forward-looking coaching with strategies that help you manage everyday challenges - building skills, fostering understanding, and creating plans to improve yourself and your relationship.

My Background

My path to ADHD coaching combines over 25 years of therapeutic care, teaching, and mentoring experience. I've worked as a clinical hypnotherapist, NHS Operating Department Practitioner, and university lecturer; always gravitating toward helping people overcome challenges and unlock their potential.

When a close family member received a late ADHD diagnosis, I witnessed first-hand how long people can struggle without the right support. This inspired me to focus my diverse professional background on ADHD and executive function coaching.

I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring, have completed further Executive Function Coach Training, and am a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.

How I Work

My coaching focuses on practical skill-building in the executive function areas where you need support most.

Together, we'll:
•    Clarify the challenges you're facing
•    Create and experiment with new strategies
•    Embed sustainable habits
•    Equip you to move forward independently

My goal is simple: help you build the skills and confidence to manage life without ongoing coaching. You'll leave with practical tools you can use for years to come. And if you need a refresh or want to tackle new challenges down the road, I'm always here.

Book a Free Discovery Session

Start with a free 30-minute online discovery session. We’ll discuss what you’re finding challenging, explore your needs and your goals, and I’ll explain exactly how coaching works.

Coaching is built on trust, without it coaching does not work. So, on the call I won't ask you to sign up to coaching sessions. You need time to think. I will send you more information after the call and ask you to contact me when and if you are ready. No sales, and no pressure.

Loving ADHD

My new book was written especially for the often-forgotten partner. The one who may feel unseen, overwhelmed, or exhausted. Inside, you’ll find validation, practical tools, and insights to help you thrive alongside your ADHD partner.

Available on IngramSpark in paperback or on Amazon in paperback and e-book.
