Being in a relationship with someone who has ADHD can feel confusing, overwhelming, or emotionally draining. You may feel unheard, misunderstood, or like you're carrying more than your share of responsibility. These feelings are valid, and you're not alone.
Understanding ADHD and its impact on your relationship is the first step. But understanding alone isn't always enough. You need practical strategies, personalised support, and a path forward that works for both of you.
I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to this work. With qualifications in Coaching and Mentoring, Executive Function Coach Training, and over 25 years in therapeutic care and teaching, I understand ADHD from multiple professional angles.
But more than that - I've lived it. I'm neurodivergent myself and have been in a successful ADHD relationship for almost 40 years. I know firsthand the challenges partners face, the frustrations that can build, and the path to a stronger, more balanced partnership.
This understanding - both professional and personal - shapes every coaching session.
Effective coaching for partners recognises an essential truth: sustainable change requires collaboration between both partners. This isn't about you fixing everything or managing your partner's ADHD. It's about building understanding, communication, and shared strategies that work for your relationship.
Where appropriate, coaching will explore ways to engage your ADHD partner in the process, creating solutions together rather than placing all responsibility on you.
Session Structure: Standard sessions are 45-60 minutes weekly, but we can adapt this to suit you. I also offer a complimentary 15-minute midweek check-in to maintain momentum and provide accountability between sessions.
Online Convenience: All coaching takes place via video call, allowing us both to work from comfortable, familiar environments. I coach from my home office, while you can join from wherever works best - your home, a quiet workspace, or even while travelling.
Getting Started: Every new client begins with a complimentary 30-minute discovery session. This initial conversation allows us to:
Explore your specific challenges and goals
Discuss how coaching works and what to expect
Determine whether we're a good fit to work together
Since we'll be collaborating closely over several weeks, it's essential that we both feel confident in the partnership.
Costs: I charge £80 for each weekly session. Although I ask you to initially commit to six weeks, you pay per session. So, if you have to miss a session, as long as I've been given enough notice, you are not charged.
Step 1: Care for Yourself First
Build your foundation through self-care, boundary-setting, and developing support systems. You can't pour from an empty cup, so we'll focus on helping both of you thrive.
Step 2: Understand the ADHD Brain
Gain insight into how ADHD affects thinking, emotions, and behaviour, and how these patterns impact your relationship. Understanding the 'why' changes everything.
Step 3: Build Communication & Collaboration Skills
Learn practical strategies for expressing needs, navigating conflict, and working together as a team. Develop tools that strengthen your partnership.
This is coaching, not counselling or couples therapy. It's a practical, goal-oriented process focused on building skills and moving forward.

Start with a free 30-minute online discovery session. We’ll discuss what you’re finding challenging, explore your needs and your goals, and I’ll explain exactly how coaching works.
Coaching is built on trust, without it coaching does not work. So, on the call I won't ask you to sign up to coaching sessions. You need time to think. I will send you more information after the call and ask you to contact me when and if you are ready. No sales, and no pressure.
