Reiki Courses
We hold Live Courses every month at Jay's home in Neston, near Bath.
Our certificated courses include all the levels necessary to take you from a complete Reiki novice, to becoming a professional Reiki Practitioner, and then on to becoming a Reiki Master Teacher.
All aspects of Reiki are covered, from a Western viewpoint and from the original Eastern viewpoint. These include personal meditations, the proper use of symbols & kotodama, how to treat yourself, how to treat others, and ultimately how to teach others.

What makes us different
There are many people and organisations teaching Reiki in
this country. Some teach the modern 'Western' Reiki and
some teach what they call 'Traditional' Reiki. To get a
detailed view on how this all came about please go to the
Reiki History page.
At Bath Reiki we teach the 'Original' Japanese form of Reiki
(or Usui Do), which is very different from the evolved
form being taught and practised here in the West. The Original
Usui Reiki is simple, elegant, powerful and uncluttered.
Reiki was originally all about taking yourself on a self-healing
and spiritual journey. It has ended up being taught as a
Complementary Therapy. We teach you both, giving you a strong
foundation for your Reiki journey.
Philosophy
We approach our courses from the idea that the practice
of Reiki is to help one heal oneself and find ones spiritual
path towards enlightenment - the original intention of Reiki.
Even though treating others was originally a side issue
we do include this important element of Reiki in our courses
- looked at from both a Western & Eastern point of view.
Every aspect of both traditions of Reiki are covered so
that you have a strong foundation from which you can then
start your own Reiki journey.
Course
Material
The course material has been created over many years and comes directly from Chris Marsh (please see our Reiki
History page to understand the relevance of this). They provide much more than you will receive
from any other course.
All courses consist of a Home Study Pack - extensive and
comprehensive manuals, audio CDs and in the case of the
Master/Teacher Degree a DVD.

Once you have completed your course you are not then just
left alone. Jay is on hand to help and support you at all
times in your practice of Reiki. To do this he offers the
following free benefits:
· Free updates to your manuals. The manuals are updated
at regular intervals and you can download these for free
· Free self-help guides
· Free quarterly newsletters

a distant Reiju empowerment each week on a Monday. You can

evenings where Jay gets together with his students to discuss
how things have been going, answer any questions, carry
out empowerments and carry out any healing necessary
· Jay feels it is vitally important that his students don't
feel isolated or confused so they can call or email him
at anytime if they have a question about Reiki
· When you have completed Reiki II or above with us you also get listed on our 'List of Recommended Reiki Practitioners'. In this way you benefit from free advertising
When you complete the Shinpiden Course (Reiki Master/Teacher

Venue
All courses are carried out in a purpose built teaching space in Neston, near Bath. The Space is used only for healing and Reiki and as such has a calm and peaceful atmosphere, it is also surrounded by beautiful countryside,
which adds to the experience.

The
Three Degrees
Learning Reiki is done in three stages:
Shoden (Reiki I). This is for your
own benefit and can be practised on family and close friends.
Okuden (Reiki II). This is taken
at least 2 months after Shoden. This enables you to deepen
and intensify your experience of Reiki, taking it to a new
level. This is the Practitioner Course where, after
you have completed the course, you can start a Reiki practice
if you so wish.
Shinpiden (Reiki Master/Teacher
Degree). This is taken at least 6 months after Okuden.
This is for those who wish to continue their Reiki development
to its natural conclusion. Reiki Mastership represents the
end of one journey and the commencement of another. This
course gives you everything you need to be able to teach
Reiki.
Coming
from a Different School
If you have previously learnt Reiki with a different teacher,
at any level, we have conversion courses available to bring
you 'up to speed' with our teachings. Please see the Booking
Forms page for details.
We are constantly re-training many people who have previously
learnt what they thought was 'Traditional' Reiki, but that
somehow it didn't quite make sense to them, so please do
not be afraid to call Jay to find
out more.
